Tescon - Certainly Romney's illegal alien education comment was out of context, and he (and you) know it. Huck's not giving those kids scholarships, he's making them, as citizens, earn them. As Mike says, punishing the (legal) kids for the sins of their (illegal) parents is a different question, one which most guvs also do, and one Huck says he will continue to support even to the point of costing him the election, to turn away (back) skill-less illegals is one thing, but to rid our country of the best and the brightest seems STUPID.

Dear PS - I can't agree with you or Novak on this one. Romney is running on looks and money, and his beliefs are mostly formed by his knowledge and love of the latter. Certainly, his values are not formed by his religion, for if Romney understood Mormonism's mishmosh of Christianity and false prophecies, he would flee from it. Obviously Novak is more conservative than Catholic (at least in public) and if he defends capitalism when it clashes with Catholicism, he's not a very good Christian in private either. You can only serve one master, and Huck serves God. By Romney's campaign spending and Novak's praise of the free market even when it contradicts the pope's social encyclicals, which master do you think they serve?

Now that he is getting prominent, and notice in the press, one Catholic convert writer I trust isn't so sure about the Huck.

He is pro-life . . . so he can sort of 'abort' us after we work for a living, and maybe if Daddy can't afford to feed us, while we're dependent. I love life as 'left to live it' as well as 'born to it'.

Just as importantly, I can't believe that he would run well against any Democrat because he just is not different enough on 'wallet' issues. Like them, he calls it 'greed' for us to want to keep what we have earned.

It seems that I am getting ever closer to backing Romney, whose Mormon faith as well as campaign promises will 'corner' him on life issues, and who is capable of leaving Americans' earnings in THEIR wallets.
